David J. Kramer, following in the footsteps of his father who co-founded the firm, joined in 1987, expanding the capabilities of RKG by bringing both his accounting and law degrees to the firm.
Graduating Summa Cum Laude as a President’s Scholar from Temple University, David earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and then continued on at Temple Law School, attending classes at night and working at RKG by day.
Following his law school graduation, David joined Coopers & Lybrand (later PricewaterhouseCoopers) as a tax associate and later as a tax supervisor. During his tenure, he provided tax planning services for corporate mergers and acquisitions.
Returning to RKG, he currently directs the firm’s Tax Services Department.
David excels in working with entrepreneurial-owned companies on federal and state income tax planning and estate planning, and consults on the acquisition and disposition of businesses, financing and business succession planning.
His dual specialty in accounting and law enables him to represent many of his clients in federal, state and local tax litigation. He also provides litigation support services to law firms and other CPAs.
David is a member of the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Institute of CPAs and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs. He is also authorized to practice before the U.S. Tax Court.
